CMT and Massage on the Same Anatomic Area
Our patient has Medicare coverage. The CMT adjustment was coded with an -AT modifier, and 97124-59 for massage therapy was billed on same date. The supplemental carrier says it is part of the primary procedure per NCCI guidelines. Is that correct?
