2008 Medicare Fees for 98940-98942
Notice: The Medicare Fee Schedule was to revert to a 10% cut on July 1, 2008, following a 6-month freeze. On June 27, 2008, Congress failed to extend the freeze and avoid this cut. On June 30th, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced that they would essentially freeze the Medicare Fee Schedule at its current levels for a period of ten days, until Congress returns from the July 4 recess. Many offices may want to hold their claims until new action is taken.
