|
In his ChiroCode webinar, Introduction to ICD-10 - It’s time to Plan Now, David Klein discusses what practices should do to prepare for ICD-10. His tips include:
- Talk to your current practice management system vendor.
- Talk to your clearinghouses or billing service.
- Identify changes to data reporting requirements.
- Identify the changes that you need to make in your practice to convert to the ICD-10 code set. For example, your diagnosis coding tools, “super bills,” public health reporting tools, etc.
- Identify staff training needs and begin the process.
- Budget for implementation costs, including expenses for system changes, resource materials, consultants, and training.
