FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

GENERAL

Q: Do I need a passport?
A: Yes!  We will be entering Canada at Prince Rupert, BC.  The cruise line will strictly adhere to the rules of Maritime Law.  They will not let anyone board without a passport, even if a passenger does not plan on leaving the ship in Canada.

Q: What should I pack?
Pack like you would for any resort. Cruise vacations are casual by day, whether you're on the ship or ashore. In the evening, ships vary as to dress. There will probably be 1 or 2 dinners in which something more formal would be appropriate. (i.e. a suit, or cocktail dress; perhaps even a dinner jacket or gown)

Q: What is the temperature in Alaska in June?
A: The typical High for Alaska in June is about: 60°F.  The typical Low is about 45°F.

Q: Are there different classes of service?
A:  No.  Today's cruise ships are 'one-class.' Everyone can use all of the ship's facilities. The price of a stateroom (cabin) is based primarily on its size and location. Regardless of the category you book, you'll enjoy the same courteous service, menus, activities, and entertainment as everyone else on board.

Q: What about tipping?
A: All of your standard gratuities (i.e. room steward, dining room waiter, busboy, etc.) are included in the total fare.  Other shipboard personnel can be tipped for special services that you request, at your discretion.

Q: Can I get a special diet?
A: Most ships can accommodate salt-free, low-carbohydrate, vegetarian, Kosher, or other diet preferences. However, requests must be made in advance, so be sure to advise us as soon as possible.

Q.  Is all the food free?
A.  All routine meals are included in your fare.  There’s virtually no limit on how much you can order.  You'll never see the price on a cruise ship menu.   However, there are a few exceptions, including a special restaurant.

Q: Is motion discomfort a problem?
A. Rarely.  Popular cruise itineraries boast some of the calmest waters in the world.  In addition, stabilizers on modern ships, advanced availability of accurate weather information, and development of effective preventative medications have almost eliminated the incidence of motion discomfort.

SEMINAR

Q. Is the ChiroCode Seminar cruise for doctors or for staff?
A.  It is for anyone who is interested in Excellence in Getting Paid.  Because success is often a team effort, all members of the team will benefit.

Q.  How much time will be spent in seminars
A.  We are committed to keeping the IRS rules.  That means that a majority of the days of the trip must have a seminar.  Hence, seminars (9-11 am) will be held on 4 of the 7 days (while traveling on the open sea).

Q: Will CEU’s be available for this ChiroCode seminar cruise?
A:  ChiroCode Institute will grant 8 hours of CEUs in Coding and Billing.  However, most states do not acknowledge business CEUs for doctors.  It is helpful to remember that state laws are focused on protecting the public by keeping doctors current in patient care (diagnosing, treatments, techniques, etc).

Q: Will I have to check in to each seminar session?
A:  Yes. We will be checking off all of our attendees before and after each session.
